  • Remember to do something kind for a stranger today if possible. Making this a daily habit will change your life and that i can guarantee.

  • I need the Hardy boys for sure...

All this talk about the Hardy boys and I get robbed. Upon arriving home from getting blood work 7am yesterday morning, I noticed my car had been broken into and my weapon was stolen. I drove all the way to the lab and back before even noticing the firearm was gone. I immediately checked my survelliance camera’s and saw the little brats rumuging through mIne and my wife’s automobile. We live in a gated community and the location of my home is in the back, at the end of the street with water on two sides. It takes me almost 6 minutes to get from my house to the gatehouse. I always leave my garage door open (even though it is against the rules) and rarely lock the house. I am truly astonished that these kids were able to get into the community or they quite possibly could live here. We have probbaly have less than 50 kids in a community of 1600 homes. It is also surronded by walls and is a good five miles from anything but two other communities on either side of us. I am going to have to examine my security procedures in the future. I also have two Rottweilers that must have been resting when this took place Along with their owners.

  • šŸ˜ž I almost did it for the first time in my life…

I have been meditating since the 80’s but I have never successfully meditated every day for a full year. This year I made it all the way to 357 days and neglected to meditate yesterday out of forgetfulness. Normally, if I forget to meditate my todo list will remind me but I didn’t even look at my todo list yesterday. It also would have been the first time in my life I would have fulfilled a New Years resolution as well. Last year I made it till Dec 12th when I had heart surgery and couldn’t complete a year. How discouraging this is. However, this isn’t a challenge, it is a lifestyle and the benefits of meditating are tremendous.

  • Hot diggity damn, Drafts has done it. I’ve been waiting for action On macOS and now I got em.

  • Sometimes you just have to stop and be grateful for all that you have and forget what you want.

Do something kind for someone today. It will change your day.

  • I am really enjoying Apple’s show See. I’ve heard the reviews aren’t very good but I think it gets better each week. I think the acting is very good considering it has to be very difficult trying to act as a blind person when you aren’t blind and haven’t experienced being blind for an extended period. You can’t just put on a blindfold and try to be blind. Most blind people have been blind for years and have adjusted to being blind. I can only imagine the adjustment period takes is an everyday learning experience. Kudos to the actors of See

  • My love for my dogs is 2nd only to my wife.

  • I wish that you could long press an iOS folder and a list of the apps within that folder would appear so you could launch one of those apps. Is there a legit reason why Apple doesn’t implement this feature?

  • Elon Musk is no Steve Jobs!

  • My male Rottweiler Nikko loves our pool. My dogs bring so much joy into my life. Whomever coined the phrase ā€œDog man’s best friendā€ was a very intelligent man. 🐶

  • External camera button, great feature...

I ordered the new Apple battery case for my iPhone 11 Max Pro just for the external camera button. Will Apple add a external camera button on the iPhone 12? It certainly would be nice feature but difficult to implement properly.

I am pretty confident that note Apple has added this feature to the case, I am confident some other cell phone manufacturer will add an external button to their cell phone before Apple does.

  • Where did my memory go?

I will be 60 in April 2020. The older I get the more forgetful I get. I have heard this from the ā€œelderlyā€ for years and now I am the elderly and I am experiencing this shortness of memory. Even after living my life with Cystic Fibrosis, a double lung transplant, a kidney transplant, heart surgery when my transplanted lung stuck to my heart, multiple operations for intestinal complication’s and I still feel like a much younger person than I am, except for my memory.

Now that I am experiencing memory problems myself I can understand how frustrating being forgetful can be. Lately, when talking I frequently can’t finish a sentence because I can’t remember the word I need to convey what I want to say. How frustrating and often embarrassing. I can watch a movie and six months later watch the same movie and enjoy it just as much as the first time because I forgot I watched it until my wife tells me.

The sad part is it can only get worse. The good thing is I am grateful for most every day I wake up.

  • Dreaming again...

I downloaded a new app called Otter and it offers Google and Microsoft As a way to sign in but no Apple. I was under the impression that Apple Stated that any appLication in the app store that uses Google, Facebook or Microsoft as an entry to subscribe would be required to include Apple Sign-in As well. Did i just dream this?

  • I hate that damn delay in LaunchBar, why can’t they resolve it? I can’t get myself to switch to Alfred even though maybe I should give it a try. Then again, love ObDev and if people start jumping the LaunchBar ship, Launchbar could go away along with Objective Development, just like Casady & Greene ;)

Remember Step On It? I loved that game. Th

  • There goes for the grace of medicine....

Three years ago today I received a kidney transplant after enduring 8 months of dialysis. Next month on the Dec. 12th I will celebrate my 10 year anniversary for my double lung transplant. I have Cystic Fibrois and was told I would be lucky to make it to 20 years old. In the late 50, early 60’s little was known about CF and the majority Of CF patients died very young, children. I lost my elder sister of 11 months at the age of 16, real smack of reality For my family.

I rebelled and did everything and anything until I was 24 when I realized that just maybe there was hope. I have some stories from those rebellious years that would make the hair stand up on your neck. Some are so unbelievable that I have a hard time believing them myself.

I decided I was not going to let this disease ruin my life. I started exercising and eating healtheir and taking life seriously. New medicine and bi-yearly 14 day stays at Mass General in Boston was a big part of my survival. I would spend the 14 days getting two doses of IV antibiotics Every 8 hours and go home feeling much better. Over the next 6 months you would notice the shortness of breath slowly creep back as the bacteria was doing its best destroying your lung tissue And then it was time to go back into the hospital for your IV antibiotics.
