I was reading Brett Terpstra’s blog today and came across a very interesting application, actually, Brett came acrosss it and I am just passing it on to you. The application is called Hook. Hook applies a principle from cognitive productivity: “deep work requires rapidly re-accessing pertinent information without searching.”, so Brett explains. This is the first time ever hearing such a term. Researching the term and the application briefly I was hopeful by the possibilities that an application of such could be. I downloaded Hook and spent 5 minutes using it before purchasing it. I was so excited about the possibilities of Hook that I forgot I could have saved 20% by using a code supplied by Brett. I then spent some time using it and figuring it all out. Hook is not super intuitive and will need a little practice linking/hooking files but once you get the hang of it, you will realize the potential of such an application. It truly is a huge time saver when put to use. Hook allows you to link multiple documents, emails, url’s and to-do items together. Honestly, I have never seen an application like Hook and recommend you give it a try.
